Our Founder

The founder of the Caleb Foundation – Save Life with Pennies INC is Tenadam G Alemu.  Tenadam Alemu is a mother of two children. Her younger son Caleb was only 4 years old when he had an accident and was hospitalized in 2010.  The injury he sustained became a life-threatening infection, and her son ended up in critical condition and was kept in the ICU.  “It was during this time that I realized a desperate mother who is crying out for help should never be put on hold.”  Said Tenadam, when she explained how desperate she was to help her child.  “Although I always want to give back and help my community, I have been procrastinating and waiting for the right time to help.  But when I was in the position where I needed help myself, I realized the importance and severity of reaching out to those mothers who are desperately needing our help to save their children’s lives.  That is when I promised to God, to stand for those desperate mothers and their children if He helps my son.” Said Tenadam.  Her son Caleb has recovered fully, and the Caleb Foundation was established right away after his recovery.
